Agency Overview
Embracing Arms, Inc. was founded in 2003 by Kimberly and Reginald Underdue. Kimberly continues to serve as the agency Executive Director.
Our home is licensed by the Office of Regulatory Services and has current contracts with Department of Family and Children Services and the Department of Juvenile Justice. Embracing Arms is a member of the Georgia Association for Homes and Services for Children and Georgia Association for Private Providers. The agency has received a three year accreditation in Group Home Care from the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
The purpose of Embracing Arms is to provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment for Females between the ages of 6-18 years of age who come in need of out of home placement from the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Department of Family and Children Services, Inc. The agency is a structure self help program that includes instruction and guidance in personal life management along with discipline and encouragement

Embracing Arms continues at our original location in Jonesboro, Ga, which is in the suburbs of Atlanta, Ga. We are ideally located and within close proximity to schools, recreational facilities, cultural events, and medical services.
